We believe that the journey to a highly successful outcome is a collaborative one. As a full-service design studio, we pride ourselves on our commitment to a collaborative approach, engaging with clients, builders, and other stakeholders throughout the entire project process to ensure exceptional results.
We view each project individually and strive to exceed expectations, both in design and functionality. Attention to detail is a high priority for our practice and we are skilled across all aspects of design, construction management and interior design.
As licensed members of the NZIA (The New Zealand Institute of Architects), we closely work alongside all consultants and contractors to obtain the necessary and regulatory consents based on the requirements of the project. Scope of our Architectural Services
1 Site Analysis and Initial Consultation
Usually done onsite, this consultation helps us to evaluate the scope of your project and start to discuss your needs and brief. It’s a great chance to meet each other, chat openly and see if we are a good fit for one another.
2 Briefing and Pre-Design
We get to know you to understand your needs and create a clear, deliverable briefing document that will inform the entire design process. We consult and define planning requirements and establish site constraints.
3 Concept Development and Planning
The concept stage is where ideas start to hit the paper! It’s an exciting stage as we start to plan and develop the core concept for the entire project. Here we begin to plan out the full project in detail so we have a clear guideline for the build process.
4 Developed Design
Using BIM, PHPP modelling, and CAD software, we visualise and test our concepts to refine and adjust the design, ensuring it meets our clients’ objectives.
5 Detailed Design
As the Primary consultant, a high level of documentation ensures that nothing is left to chance and the design is translated correctly to the construction team and other consultants involved in the project.
6 Design Documentation
Our involvement continues through to completion with regular project and site meetings to ensure the design intent and details are correctly implemented.
7 Install
We pride ourselves on going above and beyond in these last stages of the build to ensure all of those finishing touches are completed with finesse and care to achieve the highest quality result by closely coordinating with an extensive network of manufacturers, fabricators and craftspeople to deliver on bespoke design elements.
8 Handover
Handing over a project to its new family is always a special moment for all involved and is so rewarding to share in our clients excitement. We love seeing how clients personalise and embed their own special mark into their homes and how the landscaping matures around them.
